Nearly five and a half years after a brief distribution agreement, the Cubs’ Marquee Sports Network has returned to Hulu + Live TV.

The regional sports network announced Wednesday that it is now available on Hulu + Live TV in the Cubs’ market. Additionally, Marquee’s direct-to-consumer (DTC) service can now be purchased on Prime Video. These distribution deals come just days before the Cubs open their season on March 26 against the Nationals at Wrigley Field.

Hulu previously carried Marquee during the 2020 season but dropped it in October of that year, along with other Sinclair-owned regional sports networks. Marquee launched on February 22, 2020, five days after announcing its initial carriage agreement with Hulu. However, the day before the Cubs’ first spring-training game, Hulu decided to delay carrying Marquee until the start of the regular season.

Now, Cubs fans in-market can subscribe to Marquee’s DTC service through Prime Video, gaining access to the same content available on Hulu and other platforms where Marquee is offered.

“These agreements represent meaningful momentum as we continue expanding distribution and providing greater flexibility for fans,” said Will Bell, Sinclair’s senior vice president and head of distribution and network relations. “With the addition of Hulu + Live TV and the launch on Prime Video, we are ensuring comprehensive access to Cubs coverage across both traditional streaming bundles and direct-to-consumer platforms in time for Opening Day.”

Marquee is also available locally via Comcast and Astound cable, DirecTV satellite, and streaming services like DirecTV and Fubo, among others. Its DTC service is accessible on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire, Samsung TV, and additional platforms.

In October, Fubo and Disney completed a merger of Disney’s Hulu + Live TV with Fubo, creating the second-largest virtual pay-TV provider in the U.S. with about 6 million subscribers, trailing only YouTube TV’s approximately 10 million subscribers.
